On the knitting front, I have decided that I will NEVER do a set in seam sweater again. At least without some better caveots. I am still trying to make it work. My lovely blue and brown sweater is still mostly in pieces. After two attempts, including to try and pin, I have failed. So it is currently resting, piecefully, until I have some patience back. I assume thats better than attacking it with a big pair of sissors, after which i would be quite side. I really do like the sweater, its just evil :-)
If you have never seen it ..
In the mean time, I have managed to finish a cute pair of fingerless mitts, modified with some BoSox patterns for my best friend, and some other little things are on my needles. I have been a little slow on the knitting front lately. Too many good books have come out. And reading puts a small dent in my knitting.
OH! and one more thing ... I HAVE STARTED THE MOST INCREDIBLE SWEATER EVER. Every time I look at it, I squeal like a two year old on Christmas. I just finished the back, but I dont have a picture yet so you will have to settle for a small snippit of the pattern. Or maybe not cause I cannot figure out how to add another picture. If anyone out there knows, give me a shout. Anyway, the pattern is a neat Puruvian type dilly and its made using a mosaic technique, saving the hassel of tangling yarns like one does in Fair Isle. Its also made out of the most squooshiest, soft, fluffy yarn ever; Silka by Mirasol. Its 60% Merino, 30% Alpaca and 10% Silk. The only downside is that I get covered in fuzz when I am working on it. Check ravelry for details!!Also, its currently beautiful in Philly ... just thought Id share. Yay Spring!!! Now just do not get any hotter!!!Peace!
